Indivisible Lambertville/New Hope partnered with OneNJ7, New Jersey Citizen Action and We the People NJ 07 to host this event at the Stangl Factory in Flemington NJ.
The Inflation Reduction Act has been monumental and this nonpartisan event featured informational speeches by New Jersey State Senator Andrew Zwicker, Dr. Patricia Campos-Medina and Darcy Draeger. Senator Zwicker has represented New Jersey’s 16th Legislative District since 2021 after serving three terms in the New Jersey General Assembly where he was the Chair of the Science, Innovation, and Technology Committee. Dr. Campos-Medina is Executive Director of The Worker Institute, ILR-Cornell University and a policy expert on workplace and labor issues, women’s rights, voting rights, immigrant worker justice, immigration policy and US trade relations. Darcy Draeger is Executive Director of Districts for Democracy and former candidate for NJ State Assembly. All speakers will discuss President Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and its benefits for everyday Americans. After the presentation, our DJ pumped us all up for our Get Out the Vote pep rally while we created democracy inspired art, mingled and danced the afternoon away.
